Little Elliott and I went to a birthday party today---for one of his classmates. It was like a family reunion with all of the parents eager to talk and all of the kids eager to play. Funny what just three days of absence will do for them. One mom is pregnant, one family is switching schools, one family has bought a new house, and we played an innocent game of the "oh, I met your cousin at..." or "You'll never guess who I ran into at..." game. It was fun. The decision to send the kids to such a small, quaint school has paid off and has provided exactly what we wanted...a large addition to our little family. So fun.
