I started trimming some bushes in the backyard, as part of "neighborhood free brush pick-up" day. I didn't plan to kill them, it just happened. One trim, led to another trim, and within 45 minutes I had chopped away and cleared 5 bushes that I hated since the day I saw them. They were crummy. They were half-dead. And I felt totally liberated just chopping them to shreds. Next, the roots come up. Then we finally get to plant what we want. Now I know what someone who pleads "temporary insanity" feels like. I just did it... and I loved it.
