I was driving down the street today, full family in the car. Big E asked me to stop the car. Before I even came to a complete stop he hopped out, jumped the median and ran across the street. It could only be ... a turtle in need.

This fella was about to cross a busy street, inevitably ending his life. Luckily "eagle eyes" saw him and saved him. We brought him home to our "jungle" and he has made himself a nest and travels the yard like it is his own. So sweet. The kids love that he is here...and we had friends over tonight and their kids got to "pet the turtle".

Next weekend we will drop him off in an area more representative of his natural habitat...but for now, we have a turtle.
