It is not a big surprise to anyone that we spent our Saturday ripping up our carpet. This carpet has been gone, in our minds, since the day we moved in this house...and now, a year and a half later, we've built ourselves up to the task. We've destroyed what was known as hallway and will be laying the new wood floors next weekend. It is not a normal day in our house if we don't have some area that is "off limits". Just another day in our house and I love it.

The kids actually like seeing the transition. They see the new floors in the boxes downstairs, they have seen us rip out the carpeting, and they have fun running on the cushy carpet padding....hey, it doesn't take much to entertain them :)
