Sometimes their "no fear" status is shocking...yet entertaining. Keats walked right up to this big beetle, picked him up and he let him crawl all over him! No fear! Then he decided that he wanted to keep him, so he placed him in his t-shirt pocket and let him ride in there for the rest of the trail. The last 15 minutes of negotiations were to let the bug go before getting in my car...THAT is where I draw the line.
