run boys run

Today was the first day of track. Elliott has never run track before and Keaton has never played an organized sport before...but they both love to run, and that made today amazing. It was an absolute team effort...kids from ages 4 to ages 10 cheering each other on. They competed against each other, encouraged each other, had a great time being a "school team"---and it was something that both kids are good at, which is nice. Elliott was completely pumped up about it, asking if we can run as a family, asking if we could go running around the neighborhood to practice running, and he was completely excited about the concept of running a race. Keaton was just excited to be there and be part of it. It was very surreal and actually a little dream come true. These picture were taken at 8pm after a whole day of school and then practice...and they still had the energy to muster up a running stretch (and a runners hug).
